Problems and Limitations

  1. The main problem is that if only few files from the directory are mirrored, or if the files from different distributions are mirrored to the same directory, then the FTP Mirror Tracker is unable to locate these files, as its minimal object is a directory.
  2. Summarizer can parse listings only of the Unix FTP servers. We suspect the number of non-Unix Internet-connected Anonymous FTP servers is negligible, and plan that the program will in time be updated to parse other listings.
