Performance and Reliability
How good can it perform ?
There are at least .... FTP sites (according to the Lycos/Fast FTP
Search). With only 500 visited sites (and delivering the list of
the mirrors that are located only
in Russia) we provided around 6% hits during the last month.
Can it be used in the production enviroment ?
- Maximum of 1 day averages of TCP request (DFN/JANET) is about 100 req./sec. and
- Maximum of 5 minutes averages is about 1500 req./sec.
Fraction of FTP requests ~ 3%.So we are interested in performance at constant load of 3 (average) and 45 (during bursts) requests.
