WWW Caching Workshop

The workshop will be held in Hulme Hall of Residence at the University of Manchester.

Accommodation will be in student bedrooms and will be available on the Saturday and Sunday nights preceeding and on the Wednesday night following the workshop. A limited number of double room facilities will be available. Accommodation in city centre hotels will also be available to workshop participants. The hall of residence has fully equipped lecture theatres and several workrooms for breakout sessions and meetings. Breakfast is included in the accommodation fees, and we are negotiating with sponsors to provide lunches and evening meals during the course of the Workshop.
An initial estimate for the cost for attending the full three days will be in the range 200 - 400 pounds sterling, but please watch these pages for a more accurate figure.

Please note that the parts of the M62 that surround the North-Western part of Manchester have recently been renamed as the M60 and some junctions renumbered. We decided to leave the original directions in the details below until we find out what actually has changed.. From M61 & M62, Leave M62 at J12 and join M602 Salford for 4 miles. At motorway end, join A57 Manchester, joining A57M after 1 mile. Leave at A34 (signed Congleton), bear left (following signs for universities), then get into the right hand lane. At traffic lights, turn right into Grovesnor Street, then left onto Oxford Road | |
| From M62, Leave M62 at J18, to join M66. At next roundabout join A576. After approx. 2 miles, bear left at traffic lights onto A665. Keep going straight on, past several signs for Universities. At junction with Rochdale Road (A664), turn left, then right down Thompson Street. Keep following the Universities signs, which eventually bring you onto Higher Cambridge Street | |
| From M56, At motorway end, continue along A5103 Manchester for 4 miles. Turn right at traffic lights (signed Universities). At next lights, (Whitworth Pub) turn left onto Oxford Road. | |
| From M67, At motorway end, continue along A57 for approx. 3 miles towards City Centre. At roundabout, take 2nd exit. It is then approx. half a mile to Oxford Road |
